🦡 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost Battery Problems

Posted January 12, 2022. I didn't get round to finding the issue but it wasn't a battery drain on mine. I ended up trading my car in as it was getting towards time for a timing belt and needed a bit of paint work tidying up. I got a good deal on a 2018 1.5 ecoboost with low mileage. 1. I have a 2013 1.0 ecoboost focus. The car wouldn't turn over this morning so i jumped it and got it going. Later on today it was dead again, jumped it but even then wouldn't start. I've ordered a new battery now but am finding conflicting advice on whether I need to reset the BMS after a batter change or not. This procedure was posted by Bud Bundy from Germany. For a reset of the BMS: 1. Switch on ignition (do not start engine) 2. Switch on dipped beam. 3. Press 5x the rear fog light button (do not switch 5x on and off the rear fog light) 4.
