🦭 Golf 6 Dsg Oil Change

Before removing the clutch, check the transmission fluid. If the fluid level is low, it is contaminated, or you detect some leaks, then it is better to completely change the fluid. Now start the clutch removal. Lift out the circlip (snap ring). Pull out the clutch hub for K1. 3.3k. Posted September 29, 2018. Not sure about the 7 speed. On the 6 speed the total fluid capacity is around 7 litres, however the serviceable volume is only around 4.5 litres. It is impossible to totally drain all the fluid. No way to check level either. The dsg is awesome imo.I have both dsg and "basic" automatic trans. In two vw's. The basic trans is decent but the dsg is way better. Shifts way quicker , way smoother, and rev matches very well. Its also more compicated with dual clutches and what nots. Ones a basic automatic trans and the other isn't even really a automatic. Reaction score. 3,558. Location. 16.4905° S, 151.7375° W. Hello, The OEM part number for the DQ200 - 7 speed transmission oil is: "G 052 512 A2" (1 liter) Seems there are product information sheets from various lubricant manufactures that state the 'suitable' gear oil is a "GL-4 SAE 75W-80 oil". I personally would use a fully synthetic SAE Before we begin, thanks ShopDap for posting the Golf R and GTI Service Schedules. Check those links out before continuing. Jul 21, 2022. #1. Hello, I have a golf 1.5 TSI from 2017 (mk 7.5) with a 7 speed DSG. It's currently just over 60'000 km and is running perfectly fine, however I am unsure about what to do about the DSG oil. When I called the VW dealership, they told me my model has a dry clutch with a 'lifetime seal', and that the oil does not need to be changed. Step 3. Lower the car, lift the bonnet and disconnect the battery . 2 @10mm. Pull the battery fleece off (if fitted) Undo the battery retaining clamp. 1@13mm and remove the battery ( the battery tray has lips at the nearside edge so if leaning over the wing, lift and push away from you to disengage. Step 4. Manual states every 60,000 km for the DSG fluid/filter change - no mention of time. My car is coming close to 3 years old with only ~30,000 km of everyday driving. Would you all recommend a change out or be good until the 60,000km? Scotty has already dispelled the myth about lifetime fluids for automatic transmission. The VAG DSG transmissions are notorious for having trouble as they age, so you need to take the best care of them, to prolong their life. InThrustWeTrust. (@itwt) Wingman Admin. | 10916 Posts. Ive done DSG oil and fiter change to (Mk5 Golf GTi). Only need VCDS to keep an eye on oil temp. Oh and do not be fooled by parts person in buying more than 5 litres of oil. When filled from new, box needs about +6 litres. Draining using the sump plug/removal of snorkel still leaves some oil in the box, hence most will need about 4.3 to 4.8 litres. Jun 17, 2010. #1. Just did DSG oil change earlier. You can fill from the top via the oil filter housing in 15 minutes if the oil is warm enough. Just buy the 4-5 dollar funnel with the hose at walmart, it has the perfect size tip that fits perfectly. I'm not the first to do this, so don't let anyone tell you that the filling from the bottom is Q8hfUe6.
